how do you use OSC

How do you use OSC? I tried using it, but I can’t get it to work.
Do both clients need to be on the same port?

I had considered dabbling

I had considered dabbling with http://search.cpan.org/dist/Audio-Ardour-Control/ but got wound up in enough dependency problems that I didn’t want to bork my system. My setup is small, but the ideal of being able to use a laptop for basic transport/record functions would still be useful and save a lot of steps.

Sorry it took me so long to

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I was trying to get to computers to have transport sync and share audio over a network cable. But, I think I’ve given up for now.
