tascam us 428

hi,

i would like to buy a tascam us 428 to use with ardour. how good is the support for this hardware please, concerning surface control ? is it midi or something proprietary ? i saw the support in the kernel, so, for audio and midi, things should be working fine.

is all that ok ?

Ardour supports any MIDI

Ardour supports any MIDI control surface that sends generic MIDI CC messages. We also have some support for things using Mackie Control Protocol, but its still in a somewhat rough state at this time.
