VST on ardour3.0 branch

I’ve tried to search the forums, but couldn’t find anything on this. i’ve been able to compile ardour2.0_ongoing with VST=yes no problems, but no matter what system i try on, i can’t do the same with the 3.0 branch. is there a known issue with this branch and vst support?

its known, and its not likely to be fixed by anyone unless some VST-centric programmer cares enough about it.
